Hi, I am Jelle and several years Trailblazer. I have always been into sports with a focus on endurance sports for the past 10 to 15 years. In fact, my fitness and endurance were my strengths from a young age. I started running after college, especially half marathons and longer. At that time, I discovered Tailwind Nutrition through videos of marathon and trail runners in the US. So I did my first orders of Tailwind through a friend in America. Since I am always very interested in new techniques and products, I was eager to try Tailwind and from the first time it was a great success for me.
Tijdens mijn hardloop-periode heb ik allerlei sportvoeding en -dranken geprobeerd met uiteenlopende resultaten. Tailwind worked perfectly for me because it is so incredibly easy to use, extremely digestible during exercise and available in several excellent flavors. No more messing around with gels and bars, no more sweet, sticky states, no more empty containers and no more spikes in your blood sugar.
Due to a lingering knee injury, I stopped running over 5 years ago and started cycling. I am a very avid cyclist and can also be found on the gravel bike. I also do the cycling indoors, virtually, on my smartbike with Zwift.
After attempting an Everesting last year (8,848 altimeters in 1 ride on 1 climb), this year I want to increase my endurance (rides over 150-200km) and also improve my climbing technique. Simply put: further, higher, faster, better. In time I hope this will allow me to do a new (and successful) Everesting and/or ride an event like Haute Route or The Ride.
